12 Useful Skin care tips

Your skin is what tells the world who you are-your ethnicity- your health condition -your age and your disposition. The skin is thus the index of the person  just as the face is the index of the mind. When talking about skin the important part of the body that comes to  your mind is your face or visage or countenance- however you  would like to refer to it.

Whatever it may be, my Visage is what identifies me and I should keep it presentable at all times. My face reflects my thoughts and my frame of mind. It thus goes without saying that utmost attention needs to be paid to my face and its proper upkeep.

Talking about skin it is essential to keep the skin soft and glowing.. These are a few tips that can be followed without much effort to keep your skin in an immaculate condition

  1. Take a lot of fruits and vegetables in salad form instead of a meal- provides increased fibre content and minerals that are imperative to skin health
  2. No fruits to be taken right before or after meals as these tend to alter the process of digestion
  3. Take milk and banana with a pinch of original saffron as a snack or as a meal for the night which will be a measure to check on your weight and keep you healthy
  4. Avoid over-use of beverages as these have a drastic effect on the texture of the skin
  5. Fruits can be eaten at any time of the day whenever you feel hungry and with respect to skin care the recommended fruits are apples, pears, peaches, litchis, kiwis, persimmons, pomegranates  and mangosteen
  6. Proper hydration of the body by taking in adequate fluids at the rate of  four litres per day in different forms such as juices, soups and regular warm water
  7. Dehydration leaves the skin dry and wrinkled and gives and aged appearance –premature ageing which a condition to be prevented or requires early intervention
  8. Too much of water leads to bloating and the face and hands may appear swollen. Similar condition may arise out of anemia that needs to be taken care of and proper intake of fruits  and vegetables would do just that
  9. Drinking water is a detox for our bodies and the best way is to take one litre of warm water on empty stomach after waking up, breakfast to be  taken an hour after
  10. Plantain pith soup or horse gram soup may be taken alternately once a week as a detox measure for women  especially
  11. Using a mild laxative once in three months is another useful detox measure for both men and women which helps keeps the skin young, soft, smooth  and glowing 
  12. Proper grooming of face, hands and legs which are the visible parts and removal of tan is of prime importance using a  herbal face pack made of natural ingredients. Such a herbal pack will be useful to tighten up the skin and increase blood circulation which is essential for keeping the skin healthy and well groomed. This will be the method of skin grroming through external application
